Alonso Zaragoza is a passionate and energetic independent Democrat, the youngest State Chair of the Independent Voters of Illinois-Independent Precinct Organization for the 2010-2011 cycle, and a Reference Librarian. Alonso graduated from Lane Technical High School and never once missed a day of school during those four years. He also holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Dominican University.  Alonso has lived in the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood for over 20 years now.
