Sylvia Weinstock is the Leonardo Da Vinci of custom cakes. She's been creating confectionary masterpieces for over three decades, and her cakes are famous for their beauty as well as their taste. You can spot a Sylvia Weinstock cake almost as easily as you can spot the queen of cakes herself thanks to her signature large, thick-rimmed glasses.

She didn't mention that none of her cakes are covered in fondant, which is the big craze these days for the wedding circuit. Fondant has a texture and taste that most people don't care for, so they end up picking it off. Her cakes are covered in standard buttercream icing. All her cakes have the same look though. Sugarflowers. Iced cake. Next? But why mess with simple perfection. http://mespace.wordpress.com
