Simon Doonan got his start as a window dresser at Barneys New York, where he is now the Creative Director. The bestselling author has a new book, Eccentric Glamour: Creating An Insanely More Fabulous You, which is about how to develop a unique personal style. In this edition of What's My Logo?, I talked to Simon about how he developed his own personal look and what he thinks about everyone else's.

If women are dressing like sluts, it's because men have finally won the gender wars. Men won it through the porn industry and through the sexual revolution in general. The aim of both of these movements was to bisexualize women but not men. Thus women often dress in revealing clothing whereas men don't (think of any cocktail function or mainstream nightclub), thus female bisexuality is glamorized but male bisexuality isn't. (think of any mainstream porn movie that is marketed to heterosexual couples). These two gender-based double standards are now perpetuating male heterosexual supremacy over women.

You lost the war, ladies. And you lost it because you yourselves allowed these double standards to flourish.
