We've all heard of the notorious Bridezilla. You know, the bride that goes ballistic when her roses aren't the exact shade of lilac or demands her bridesmaids all dye their hair the same color. You'd think it would be in everyone's best interest for you to be a Bridechilla (read: a super chill bride) instead, right? Not necessarily. There is such a thing as being too relaxed as a bride (or groom)!

Here's how to be the type of Bridechilla everyone will appreciate.

1. Know what you want -- but be flexible.

If you've been dreaming of an old Hollywood-inspired affair or an enchanted garden theme, go for it! You'll have a much easier time working with your vendors by being a bride with a vision versus a bride that's happy with "whatever." Just be ready to adapt if your favorite flower is out of season or certain items are out of the budget.

2. Give your bridesmaids direction -- but don't micromanage.

"Wear whatever you want!" seems like the perfect chill bride move, but I guarantee that your bridesmaids will just end up confused and even more stressed. Give some sort of guidelines (think color, material, length, etc.) so your 'maids know where to start...and so there's some sort of cohesion in the overall look.

3. Be organized with your photographer -- but don't be their shadow.

Go over a shot list with your photographer to determine the most important moments to capture. There's no need to control their every move on the day of; let them do their thing. Just assign a bridesmaid or family member to check in with them periodically to make sure you're both getting everything you need.

4. Register for gifts -- but don't freak when someone strays from the list.

Many chill brides might think a gift registry is too forward, but it really isn't! Trust me, as long as you include a variety of options and price ranges, your guests will appreciate not needing to rack their brains for the perfect gift, and you'll enjoy not receiving four blenders. If well-meaning guests go off registry, be gracious!

5. Let your groom deal with the groomsmen -- but stay in the loop.

Gifts, attire, activities and more are all your fiancé's territory and it's one less thing for you to manage. You should still be aware of some of the details however, you don't want the groomsmen's bowties to clash with your perfect bridesmaids' dresses!

Remember that even with the most precise planning and an army of wedding professionals, surprises will still pop up along the way -- and that's OK. Just take a deep breath and be chill!
