Ambria spent her childhood in Boston. During high school, Ambria worked as a contract writer for Rizzo Associates (now a Tetra Tech company), a then-private engineering firm. After graduation, her employer sent her to work as a Project Controller for Perini Corporation on a multi-million dollar demolition/rebuild project on a Naval Base in Ceiba, Puerto Rico. Upon completion of the project, Ambria relocated to New York City, where she studied at the Yale Actor's Studio and Fashion Institute of Technology. In between classes she ghostwrote editorial articles for fashion magazines and online fashion websites. After appearing in regional commercials in New York City, Ambria moved to Los Angeles to further a creative career. In addition to appearing in film and television productions including “Charlie Wilson’s War” and “Nip/Tuck”, Ambria has written several screenplays and short stories. She is a member of Women in Film and the Screen Actor’s Guild (SAG). She currently is shooting her own documentary called 'There's No Love in L.A.,' dealing with the reality entertainment insiders face when meshing their personal lives with their careers in a fantasy-based world.
