Posh Mom was started in 2005 by lifestyle experts Amy Nebens (mom of three) and Jara Negrin (mom of two). The friends, who met at their children’s preschool recognized the intense need for today’s mom to hang on to her sense of self and sense of style even after she has kids. Knowing they had the backgrounds and experience to provide moms with the answers and advice they craved, the two decided to create a source for moms to find it all in one place.

Their popular website provides moms with indispensible tips and must-have information on everything from fashion and beauty to health and mind to current news and reviews that affect the lives of moms and their families. Amy and Jara have authored a book on the posh mom revolution (everyone’s got posh potential—it didn’t all go out the maternity ward window) and also appear as lifestyle contributors on national television.

A former magazine editor, Amy Nebens has been writing and editing since 1993. She was on staff as an editor at YM and Martha Stewart Living and a senior editor at Martha Stewart Weddings. She has also authored five books, including The Gracious Welcome (Chronicle) and the Brides Essential Wedding Planner (Barnes & Noble Publishing).

Jara Negrin
began her career appearing in television commercials at the age of three, going on to star in more than seventy-five national commercials. Negrin started her own company publishing a New York City restaurant advertising magazine. Living abroad in Mexico, Negrin launched a successful manufacturing and exporting business of kids’ accessories.

One day my very animated six-year-old declares he is going to be an astronaut, the next day he's ditched the moon to do whatever his hero, daddy, does instead. My girls, one eight and enamored of all things fancy, and the other a tweeny, sophisticated beyond-her-years nine year old, sometimes...
