Amy Neumann, a passionate advocate of using social media and technology for social good, is a Social Entrepreneur, Marketing Strategist and Builder of Helpful Things at Good Plus Tech. In this role, she creates strategies for clients that connect their goals to strong results by using social media as a tool for engagement and awareness with key audiences. For the past 17 years, she has been in executive Internet and media sales and consulting with companies like AT&T and Yahoo!, helping corporations and nonprofits leverage media, marketing and technology. After being an active advocate for causes in Los Angeles for more than 15 years, she recently relocated to her native Cleveland, Ohio.

As a social entrepreneur, Amy is developing several nonprofit technology apps for use in the U.S. and China, to be released in 2012. Her affinity for Asian culture and history has led to studying Mandarin for several years, as well as an interest in emerging philanthropy markets where technology boosts donations and volunteerism.

She blogs on several of her own sites as well as for The Huffington Post, and she has been featured in TechCocktail, The Top 10 Blog, ClaireDiazOrtiz.com, and many other sites. In May 2011 she was a panelist at Dell’s Social Innovation Competition in Austin, Texas on the topic of “Social Media for Social Good," and in October 2011 was a featured workshop presenter on "Social Media for Collective Impact" at ASU's annual Sustainability Conference in Phoenix.

A keen love of nature, adventure and social media has inspired Amy -– well-known on Twitter as @CharityIdeas -– to join 12 social media friends in a three-week trek to the top of Mera Peak in the Himalayas in April 2013 for charity. Of course, she will share via social media.

You can connect with her on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
