Amy J. Sepinwall is an assistant professor at Wharton (University of Pennsylvania) in the department of legal studies and business ethics, where she teaches courses on business ethics and legal philosophy. She received her B.A. with First Class Honors in philosophy and English, and M.A. in bioethics, from McGill University. She graduated with a J.D. from Yale Law School, and a Ph.D. in philosophy, with distinction, from Georgetown. Her dissertation focused on members’ responsibility for group transgressions in which they did not participate.

Professor Sepinwall's research calls for an expansion of the understandings of responsibility standardly advanced in law and ethics. Her published works address issues of responsibility in institutional settings, including the corporation, the military and the nation-state.
