Indulge In Hope

But make a decision to stay sad for a short amount of time. Limit it. You have a choice! Sometimes when we sit in our sad it just makes a big puddle of yuck and we can't get out of it.

Is hope stupid?

NO.

No. No. No.

And I reject the notion that we should ever give up hope.

There is a cynicism that is pervasive in this culture and it really saddens me. Nothing is ever enough for this culture of more more more. We walk around with the poor me poor me attitude, feeling sorry for ourselves, feeling hopeless and stuck. Stop it. Stop it right now!

Anyone who doesn't believe in miracles isn't a realist.

There is always, always, always something to be hopeful for! No matter what is going on right now. The ceiling could be falling in, but the sky is up ahead. There could be a really crazy pile of poop on top of your soul, but I promise you, it's fertilizer for something great coming! It is important to keep the 'high watch' no matter what is going on in the world of form.

Good, Supreme and All Intelligent, is back of ALL things. There is a hidden force that we can not see that spins earth, grows babies and beats our hearts. And hear this: If it isn't good, it isn't finished. Break up? Someone better for ya comin'. Job loss? Awesome job just around the corner. Sick? You'll get well! Let's have hope.

Never limit your life by past experiences.
-Ernest Holmes

Call me slap-happy, call me Polyanna, I really don't care. But I just choose hope. I think it's quite healthy, and it's a wonderful tool we can pull out whenever things look bleak. HAVE. HOPE. Try it. It's really not so hard. It's simply lifting your head, looking up and saying, hey, this CAN get better.

Hope is a muscle.

We have to practice it, flex it, have it for others, and have it for the world. The more hope we have the faster we have hope. Hope can be something that gets us through the darkest of nights. It is the call to HANG ON, things will shift, they always do.

Take a listen to "Hope" and go ahead. Have some. Indulge.

Yeah, yeah. Be sad. Be sad about the break up, the job loss, the stuff that's sad. For however long you have to. But make a decision to stay sad for a short amount of time. Limit it. You have a choice! Sometimes when we sit in our sad it just makes a big puddle of yuck and we can't get out of it.

So be sad. And then. Dig into some hope.
