Andrea Blaugrund Nevins was born and raised in New York City. After majoring in Social Studies at Harvard University, where she took a variety of visual arts classes, she pursued a career in journalism, working with NPR’s All Things Considered, the New York Times, and directing and producing several award- winning hour-long programs for ABC News, A&E, NBC, and Lifetime.
In 1997, she produced the Academy Award-nominated documentary short “Still Kicking.” “The Other F Word” marks her feature length directorial debut. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, David Nevins, and their three children, Clara, Charlie, and Jesse.
