Born in Toronto, Canada, Andrea Syrtash has been living in the United States for almost a decade.

Andrea received her Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Canada at one of the country's oldest schools, Queen's University in 1997; and her post-graduate degree in Radio and Television Arts from Ryerson University in Toronto in 2000.

The daughter of a Holocaust Survivor from Budapest, Andrea wrote, L'Chaim: A Celebration of Jewish Life in Poland before the War, a booklet documenting 1000 years of Polish Jewry, used by numerous educators traveling to the region; and has led educational trips and has taught workshops on life in Europe before the Holocaust.

Andrea worked at various not-for-profit organizations in San Francisco, CA, before landing a job as a journalist and editor with a series of advice books, Hundreds of Heads Books, in 2003.

A freelance writer and speaker, Andrea has also written and lectured extensively on dating and living your best life. She has offered advice in various newspapers and on radio stations across the country including: CNN.com, MSNBC.com, The LA Times, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, The Post and Courier, The Washington Times, KISS 108/Boston, Maria Sanchez Show/Los Angeles, KJR-FM Seattle, KFYV Ventura, and KCBS in San Francisco among others.

A graduate of The Coaches Training Institute, she has been working with clients as a life coach over the past few years.

Most recently, Andrea appeared on NBC'S Today Show offering advice on 'how to survive' life after college; and she co-wrote and hosted an internet television pilot for a men's lifestyle show airing in November 2006.

Andrea lives with her fiancé, Michael, in a 'deluxe hallway' apartment in downtown Manhattan!
