In what was billed as a once-in-a-lifetime performance, Corey Feldman performed a cover of his Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" in Astoria, Oregon on June 6 with his band The Truth Movement.
While Feldman's vocals could have used a little auto-tuning, his dance moves were a spot-on imitation of his former BFF. It was an emotionally cathartic performance for Feldman, whose friendship with Jackson had been on the rocks for years prior to the King of Pop's untimely death in 2009.
Fellow Goonies actor, Sean Astin, later joined Feldman onstage to sing back-up vocals on a cover of Cyndi Lauper's "Goonies 'R' Good Enough," with reality TV star, Daisy de la Hoya taking over lead vocals. Feldman and Astin were in Astoria for the 25th anniversary of The Goonies, the cult classic that will finally make its Blu-ray debut this fall.
Actors Jeff Cohen, Curt Hanson, and Joe Pantoliano, along with director Richard Donner, were also in town for the four-day Goonies celebration, which brought thousands of fans from across the globe to the tiny Oregon community where The Goonies was filmed.
