Former congresswoman and Hillary Clinton supporter Geraldine Ferraro ignited another firestorm of controversy today with more explosive comments about race and politics.
"I wish I were a black man," Ms. Ferraro told CNN's Wolf Blitzer. "That way, I could make all the racist comments about black men that I wanted to and no one would call me a racist."
Ms. Ferraro added, "As it is, being a white woman, when I make racist remarks about black men everyone accuses me of being a racist."
"This is why being a white woman totally sucks," Ms. Ferraro said.
The former New York congresswoman also said that she wished her middle name was 'Hussein,' explaining, "If my middle name was Hussein I'd be president by now."
While Ms. Ferraro's remarks would appear to be disadvantageous to the Clinton campaign, she does seem to be drawing support from one key voting bloc: lunatics.
According to a new poll of likely voters, Ms. Ferraro has the support of 60% of respondents who describe themselves as incoherent.

Are Geradine Ferraro and Pat Buchanan dating? They're both hysterical.
well ok geraldine if you want to. i mean if michael jackson wanted to be a white woman i imagine you can be a black man.
i do however think that even after all the treatments though, you will still prove yourself to be just as much of an ass braying in the wilderness as a black man as you have as a white woman.

Of course you'll never read this since the live censors are not allowing any of my posts on this web site for some reason.
let her keep talking, she makes the monster look even more awful. look at the monster's supporters, racists, blacks who hate themselves (bob johnson), cheaters (her husband), addicted to prostitutes (elliot spitzer), the list goes on and it is fantastic!
Every campaign can be forgiven a gaffe or two. But Ferraro's racist rant is part of a PATTERN of race-bating on the part of the Clinton campaign. People associated with Hillary's campaign have accused Obama of dealing drugs, being a militant black Muslim, and now of benefiting from affirmative action. Though Obama taught constitutional law at Harvard, Hillary has belittled him repeatedly, saying that both she and McCain have the experience to be commander-in-chief while Obama has "one speech." After her staffers circulated a photo of Obama in a turban Hillary went on 60 minutes to say that Obama is not a Muslim "as far as I know." Though she's been to numerous prayer breakfasts with Senator Obama appearantly Hillary still doubts if he's really Christian. Hillary KKKlinton's racist campaign has no place in the Democratic party. She should be expelled today.
You don't even make sence. Your comments are quite simply silly. The Clinton machine has injected race into the contest. blacks were not supporting Obama in such massive numbers until after the Clinton machine injected race into the mix. The Clinton's felt that if they injected race into the contest that Obama would be seen as a black canidate and therefore could never be viable. There strategy was to diminish his standing nationally and then go back to the black community and make good and sail through the process. They though that they had built up such equity in the black community that in the end Blacks would look at them as their best option regardless how the nomination was won. Bill Clinton at every opportunity injected race and belittled Obama at any and every opportunity. White women and the feminist movement have been powerful surrogates for hillary from gloria Stienem who stated that sexism is far more damaging than racism. Geraldine Ferroro who swears Obama is where he is because he is Black but can't point to a former Black president nor first lady. The Clinton's give a damn about the Clinton's they would see this party torn apart for their own agenda. They lie, distort, fabricate, and implement a campagn of half-truths and lies. I was the a huge fan of the Clinton's and when bill waved his finger at the American people and lied I gave him a pass because I hated republicans. My own judgement was horrible. He lied and was impeached and his law license was taken away. I fought for him the whole time with blinders on every step of the way. I have listened to Hillary lie about her experience. She said that she helped broker peace over in Ireland and the Main guy eho brokered the deal said she wasnt telling the truth and she had nothing at all to do with either of the parties. She said she was for NAFTA and lied, she said she play on a soccer team for her school and they didn't have a soccer team. I here to tell the feminist movement something. Stop compairing sexism to racism its crazy. I have never seen white women beaten in the streets of America, housed, hung, forced to sit in the back of the bus, enter businesses from the back door, get raped by police officers and have their cases dismissed. Their house or churches were not fire bombed, they were not told by their own constitution th they werethree fifths hum, their retives were not slaves, and so on. The feminist movement was a movement towards women liberation but, white women have always had a voice or the opportunity to be heard because this machine than embraced the discrimination and racism were owned and operated by their husbands, sons, nephews, grandfathers, uncles, and grandchildren. You slept next to them at night and went to church with them on sunday. You shared meals and built families whith the same people who oppressed you. So you believe that you may lose your standing in the pecking order if a Black man jums in front of you in line. It leaves a lot of feminist with an uneasy feeling of being displaced to third place temporarily. But the news is you will always be in second place behind white men its a birthright.
To all the Geraldine Ferraro apologists out there: the woman has officially lost it!!! I can't wait to hear what HRC has to say about this. Let the spin begin!!!
"According to a new poll of likely voters, Ms. Ferraro has the support of 60% of respondents who describe themselves as incoherent." Well, yeah, I guess, but you made no mention of the margin of error (3%).
"That way I could make all the racist comments about black men that I wanted to"...well, Geraldine has left no doubt about what her deepest desire is: to make racist comments about black men! apparently her comments about Obama (and Jesse Jackson; after all, Geraldine, aren't all black men the same?) are just whetting her appetite. Her resignation letter to Hillary conveyed the same message: she's chomping at the bit to "speak for herself". You look at Obama, you look at the new governor of New York, and scores of other black politicians, and you see a pattern: they have to start as state legislators or local councilmen in prominently black neighborhoods, whereas many promising young white people (who fit our image of what politicians should look like) go straight to being state attorney general (Spitzer, Clinton) and on a quicker trajectory to the national stage. The Obama campaign has been remarkably restrained in not pointing out the ridiculous nepotism that put Hillary, who'd never even been elected DOGCATCHER, in a Senate seat as her first elected office. But hey, Hillary loves any votes she can get...even KKK members (and I say that having direct knowledge of them at a polling place in Texas, trying to intimidate and harrass Obama voters). I don't believe for a second that Clinton doesn't approve of Geraldine's comments and the way she's managed to fan the flames of racial division.
Thanks for the post, Andy.
Don't forget that her comments are also sexist.
If she and Hillary were white males, they never would have risen to national prominence. Of course, I doubt she can see the irony in that.
I'd think she'd just gotten dotty, if not for the fact that she made nearly identical comments about Jesse Jackson in the '80s.
Wait, what, its not easy being a black man with a muslim name in America? Get out.
A few people commenting seem to think she actually said these things. This is satire. Like The Onion or the Daily Show...
"This is satire. Like The Onion or the Daily Show... "
..or the Daily Morning Press Conferece Call for the Clinton Campaign.
If black men are so lucky in politics, why is Congress not overrun by black senators, or abundant number of black governors.
It's 2008 and we now have our first black governor of NY, the state of many immigrants and minorities gets its first black governor only after the "unlucky" white guy gets caught with a hooker.
Hmmmm, you are right Ms. Ferraro and 60% of lunatics, you guys are onto something. Being a black candidate for President is so easy, any black man can do it.
Can't, we all just get along?
