Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who has been accused in recent days of padding her foreign policy resume while First Lady, admitted today that she may have exaggerated about an encounter she said she had with al-Qaeda terror mastermind Osama bin Laden in 1998.
In an appearance on NBC's Meet the Press on Sunday, Sen. Clinton told host Tim Russert, "I wrestled bin Laden in his cave in 1998 and had him pinned to the ground before the bastard got away."
But a review of Sen. Clinton's official White House schedule from that period revealed that the then-First Lady was nowhere in the vicinity of Mr. bin Laden on that day, but was instead greeting a group of honor roll students at Disney World in Orlando.
"I may have misspoke about what went on that particular day," Sen. Clinton said today. "But it was a very busy time for me, what with having that knife-fight with Kim Jong-Il and all."
Reporters peppered Sen. Clinton's new press spokesman with questions about another purported exploit of hers, in which the senator claimed that she and a ragtag team of blue-collar drillers deflected an asteroid on a collision course with the Earth.
"Everything Hillary Clinton says is true," said her new spokesman, the author James Frey.

Wow. The New York Times quotes Clinton saying that she "speaks a million lies a day."! That's a lot of lying!........Oh, wait. "Words". They said a million words a day. Oh well. No problem. "Lies." "Words". Who cares? I just "misspoke".
Maybe we have so many lying ass presidents because we keep rewarding those who demonstrate a talent for "misspeaking" by moving them into the White House.
Let's see ... she 'misspoke' her vote for war in Iraq ... she 'misspoke' about not supporting NFTA ... she 'misspoke' about her Bosnia trip ... 'Misspeaking' is not the best credential for a President ... especially, when the phone's ringing in the White House at 3 in the morning. Groggy from sleep, who knows what she might 'misspeak'! This is as bad as McCain's 'senior moments' (heard first on FOX) abroad, last week.
She is not only our foremost 'mis-speaker' but she is in command, ( she loves that command word), and responsible for the greatest 'mis-campaign' in our time. Face it people, she excels at what she does best!
Somehow today, I noticed that while she was giving her live interview, she looked down most of the time, which said to me that she was lying about a lot of things that she was saying. She could not even look at the camera on a lot of things that she was saying. If you lie about little things, you will definitely lie about the bigger things. I think that we need to check out everything that she says now.
How many firefights has Hillary Clinton been in that she could so easily "misspeak" on this issue. If she is so willing to make up stories that are easily disputed by videotape what other whoppers has she told and gotten away with (only because there was no videotape)? The exposure of this lie should be a particular embarrassment to a woman who so nonchalantly voted to put Americans in the way of real harm in Iraq. Because Hillary Clinton and others authorized George Bush's war, 4000 Americans died unnecessary deaths far from home. Their families don't have the option of making up a heroic dash to safety; instead, they have to live with the knowledge that their sons and daughters, husbands and wives, or mothers and fathers are never coming home. Have you no decency Hillary? Is there no lie that you won't tell to get elected?
If you don't think that Republican will use these "Mis-Statements" in the general election (if she is able to steal it from Obama), you are kidding yourself..... I can see the 527 ads now - The troops being so impressed with their new Commander-in-Chiefs valor, after all - the poem the little girl recited and then handed to Hillary could have caused a paper cut.... and don't even get me started about the flowers - did ANYONE see the size of the thorns on the stem.....OUR HERO - Hillary Clinton!
Don't you just hate it when people ...'misspeak'?
Mark Penn must have poll-tested "misspeak" and it was a better term for the entire Clinton camp to use than the actual word LYING.
Reminds one of "sexual relations," huh?
"Millions of words a day". A simple math: to speak even one million words a day one has to utter 11.57 words every second of the 24 hours. Did anyone NOT teach simple math to this lady over the last 55 of her 60 years?
"I'll handle this, I'm pre-Law." "Thought you were pre-Med." "What's the difference?" Sadly, we're a long way from having a candidate who was a Math major. Actually, just look at the delegate count, and you'll see she does math like a lawyer.
IS HILLARY CLINTON SUFFERING FROM FALSE MEMORY SYNDROME?
A Phd Psychologist at Psychology Today Says "YES"
This is a great, funny, sharp and even handed take on HIllary's mental state in dropping her "whopper" on Bosnia and her infamous landing there. A Phd psychologist analyzes whether or not she has created a "false memory" of the event. It's very funny. And, hey, clearly we need a psychologist to understand this one.

Hillary is now saying that the movie SNAKES ON A PLANE was based on what really happened on Air Force One, ten years ago. But because male chauvinists run the movie studios, and are afraid of a strong pantsuited female character, Hillary's part was recast to Samuel L. Jackson.
Now the truth can be mispoken.
Yet another role of hers "stolen" by a black man.
This is funny!
She actually believes that she should be Commander in Chief?
The Secret Service would have never allowed the first lady to leave a plane if there was sniper fire, period. When we have real people dying in a real war and being brought home in body bags, faking a heroic resume is sick.
She and everyone associated with this fabrication should be mocked for the fools they are.
Hillary creates her her own fairy tales .. Bush lives in his... Some day people will wake up and smell the crap.. Soon as they learn how to see the facts..
With this and the tax return issue, no wonder she is staying away from anothe debate. Didn't Kerry loose a general election with less ammo than this? If you support her, ask her to give a straight forward answer and add a little truth to it.
Better idea: Ask her to sit down for the sake of the Democratic Party so we can get on with the real battle to win this election.
This kind of lying is a cry for help. I know, I'm a certified counselor.
I think that Senator Clinton is exhibiting signs of a "mental breakdown." She needs help.......and soon. Spare us the fairy tales.
I agree. She needs a therapeutic intervention by the Democratic National Party, to save it from her destructive behavior. Every day that she is allowed to commit this nonsense is a better day for McCain.
Hillary wants to be a combat vet so bad that her imagination has crossed wires with reality.
I must say she told the story so well, and with such detail.
The really BIG lie is that Obama will ever get elected. That he isn't racist, that he never heard hate preached in his church. Stop drinking the Kool-aid
There's no Kool-Aid left. The Clintonistas took it all.
bookerone,
Really bad time to try and spread your propaganda. Hillary was caught in a big fat lie, where she tried to portray herself as some sort of courageous woman-of-action. Your frail attempts to paint Obama as something other the non-racist, non-hateful guy he is will just not work today. Though I give you points for spelling Kool-aid correctly.
Racist against who? Whites? He's 1/2 white. How about blacks? He's 1/2 black.
BTW, the kool-aid is quite refreshing. You should try it.
Your candidate is looking tired, crancky and old. Time for Hellary to go home, and write her "colorful"memoirs. And we tough W was the only one living in a world of fantasies!
I would rather have someone who stayed in a church, which is a personal choice for president, than someone who makes up lies, like a little child. Since the whole context of the Jeremiah tape is out there on the internet, we now know that we should have listened to the whole tape before passing judgement. He has nothing else to explain. To keep disregarding the full context of Jeremiah Wright's sermons is to continue to use it as a weapon against Obama and to take the light off of HIllary. Once you catch a person in a lie, whether big or small, how can you believe anything that they say? So how should we listen to a State of the Union Address from Hillary Cllinton. How could we believe what she says?
