Most Publishers Missing Potential of Online Video Audience (video)

LONDON - While big newspapers and broadcasters have made substantial investments in online video creation and distribution, most have limited their reach and opportunity to the wider Web. 

These are some thoughts I shared with Laura Oliver, editor of Journalism.co.uk on Monday.

I spoke with her at the offices of the Guardian after Beet.TV's roundtable event.  She did produced this video interview on her iPhone.  I've posted her video here on Beet.TV

I was pleased to tell her about the growth of Beet.TV and the opportunity for video content creators to develop relevant content that is not heavily branded and more apt to be used by others. 

Note:  Laura mentions my background as a TV producer.  Yup, I was an associate producer at the short-lived CBS Cable some years back.
