NEW YORK -- Yahoo will significantly increase its original video offering in 2011 with a new business show on Yahoo Finance, scripted entertainment programming and with news video in a number of vertical areas, say Erin McPhearson, VP & Head of Originals and Video Programming, Yahoo! in this video interview with Beet.TV

We spoke with her today immediately after her panel at the Business Insiders's Ignition conference in Manhattan.

She says the business show, unnamed and still in development, will be updated several times daily.

In addition to the new programming, she said that special emphasis will be made around syndicating content beyond the Yahoo properties.

Presently Yahoo produces 25 Web original progams, several which are "wrap-up shows" like Prime Time in No Time or Sports Minute.

In his report in the Business Insider, Matt Rosoff writes Yahoo is a "Content Company." It appears that video is going to be a bigger part of it.You can find this post up on Beet.TV
