SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Merton, the American singer/piano player, whose videos on YouTube have garnered over 20 million views, has found a way to parlay his fame into a paying gig with a series of piano improv performances at several U.K. airports and other public venues, sponsored by T-Mobile.

We spoke with him recently at the New Tee Vee Live conference.  He told us about his performing style, the power of YouTube and his aversion to consumer product endorsements - of which he has turned down several, he says.

Wired has a report on his playing at Heathrow and other airports in England.  We've pasted the video of his U.K. touring below.
