Anette Engelund Friis is Head of Program Coordination at the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) Coordination Unit in Copenhagen.

Prior to joining CCAFS, Anette managed the climate policy file for the Danish Agriculture and Food Council (DAFC), and was responsible for climate issues for the World Farmers’ Organization (WFO). In those jobs, Anette has been leading work and policy formulation related to climate change and sustainable development at the national, European and global level for DAFC. Furthermore, she has been leading participation throughout the UNFCCC process, including advocacy and communications for both DAFC and WFO. Prior to this post, Anette was, among others, employed at the Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries. Throughout her career Anette has been managing High level committees both in a secretariat function and as facilitator, as well as taking administrative leadership. She holds an MSc in Political Science.
