Angie Paccione is a former two-term state representative to the Colorado State House, and was 2006 Democratic candidate for U.S. Congress in Colorado, District 4. Raised in the South Bronx area of New York City, Angie's family instilled in her a passion for education and a spirit of saying "yes" to opportunity. Born to a single mother, Angie and her brothers excelled in the classroom and on the basketball court. Angie attended Cornwall Central High School where she was a member of the Honor Society and played basketball, volleyball, and soccer. Her gifts were in basketball and at age 16, Angie participated in the East Coast try-outs for the 1976 USA Olympic Women's Basketball Team. The next year, as a junior in high school, Angie was a member of the 1977 USA Women's Select National Team that played in the R. William Jones Intercontinental Cup Tourney in Taipei, Taiwan. That experience would lead to Angie's selection as a First Team Parade Magazine All-American in its inaugural and now iconic recognition for athletes. Title IX gave Angie a chance to earn a full-ride athletic scholarship to one of the finest schools in the country. Angie helped Stanford to record setting victories while pursuing an honors education. During her sophomore year, Angie became involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and made a commitment that would change her life. During the summers, Angie played on a Christian missionary team News Release that traveled throughout Europe. Following her graduation in political science (with honors) and psychology, Angie played professional basketball in the WABA for the Columbus (OH) Minks. Angie also traveled with Athletes-in-Action, a sports ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ.

In 2002, Angie ran for and won her campaign to represent Colorado House District 53 (Fort Collins). Representative Paccione was able to pass legislation in a Republican-controlled General Assembly as she reached across the political divide to get the job done for the residents of her district and the state. Angie was re-elected in 2004 to House District 53 by the largest margin of victory by a Democrat in a contested seat in the history of Larimer County. She was then elected by her Democratic colleagues to lead the new Majority as the Caucus Chairwoman. In 2006 Angie ran a spirited campaign for US Congress. She generated tremendous enthusiasm throughout the district, raised more than double what any Democrat had ever before, and out-performed the two-term incumbent by historic margins in Larimer County and Longmont. Still, on election day Angie came up short by 2.5%.

Currently, Angie is a Director of Facilitator Training and Development at Pathways to Leadership, Inc.
