Maui, one of the most popular Hawaiian Islands, features serene beaches, the Haleakala Crater, and the lush tropics of Hana. Not only does it have the tropical nature aspect that many rush to see, but is also full of swanky restaurants and hotels. Wailea, or the "Beverly Hills" of Maui, is exactly the spot to not only enjoy your vacation, but also expand your palate. Here are some restaurants to do just that:

Humuhumunukunukuapua'a
Live, fresh-caught Lobster and Ahi Tartare are the staple dishes at this Grand Wailea Resort restaurant. Located on a lagoon, filled with salt water fish, this is a perfect spot to enjoy a beautiful Maui sunset. The name comes from a local Hawaiian triggerfish that you can spot while snorkeling around the island. For a group, you can book a larger table right on the water or enjoy a livelier scene around the newly remodeled bar. Finish the night off with Pirate's Treasure, a tropical Rum drink served in a whole coconut!

Ferraro's Bar e Ristorante
Whether you decide to visit this Italian gem for lunch or dinner the atmosphere is simply to die for. Located in the Four Seasons, it has been a staple of Wailea dining and named one of the most romantic restaurants! During the day you can enjoy an ocean view complete with a Kona Surf Lobster Melt, Lobster California Roll, and a crisp glass of Rosé. At night, listen to a live band performing amorous songs that you can later choose to purchase to remember the moment! If you're not one to plan ahead, there's also a full bar with first come, first served seating.

Spago
Equally located in the Four Seasons and owned by the famous chef, Wolfgang Puck, this spacious restaurant has some of the tastiest Asian Fusion cuisine around. The Spicy Ahi "Poke" in Sesame-Miso Cones and Loco Moco appetizers are a must-order here. Enjoy an early dinner on the patio and watch the sun go down as you receive some of the best culinary service, Four Seasons style. Don't forget to grab a cocktail, like the Hemingway, before dinner at their intimately dimmed lounge located at the entrance.

A newer place on the island, Kō offers a great variety for even the pickiest eaters! Open all day, this laid-back restaurant is located by the pool in the Fairmont Kea Lani. Chef Pang whips up some of the most unique, locally sourced dishes, mostly inspired from his family recipes. Some other must-haves are the Ahi On the Rock You Sear It, Lavender Macadamia Nut Shrimp, and their Special Makai catch with your choice of preparation. There's also a separate menu for folks that have a specific diet restriction à la gluten-free!

Morimoto
Chef Morimoto has changed the sushi game on Maui forever when he opened his restaurant in the brand new Andaz hotel. Located in its own building by the pool which overlooks the beach, Moritmoto offers some of the tastiest sushi/sashimi dishes around. Go all out with the Chef's Choice Omakase or try the Morimoto Sashimi, Tuna Pizza, and the Toro Tartare. Every bite melts in your mouth here, making you long for more. Another unique option is the extensive sake menu ranging in prices, flavors, and sizes.
