A New York-based filmmaker, Annie P Waldman is one of four recipients of the first-ever Reach Film Fellowship, presented by Cinereach, a non-profit dedicated to fostering socially relevant film. The organization will premiere So The Wind Won’t Blow it All Away at a New York reception on March 19th. She received her B.F.A. in Film Production from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts. Waldman has worked under several documentary filmmakers in the New York area and with several post-houses such as Orbit Digital and Technicolor. Waldman’s most recent work, “Killer of Canaries” (a narrative short about the release of memories), is currently in the final stages of post-production. A native of San Francisco, much of her work deals with themes of adolescence, nostalgia and the tides of memory.
