Chyron of the Day: The Wearing of the Green

Alex Leo | Bio

Yeah, okay, we get it, it's St. Patrick's Day and even though no one would don mouse ears for a foreign policy speech on Halloween, or wear a yarmulka on Good Morning America during the high holy days, people trot around with bows and scarves and ties and tops paying homage to a holiday that no one really understands but has something to do with snakes and booze. Well, I am Irish and therefore I get to make-up holiday-related rituals (at least here, I do) and I would like to play "Who Looks More Inappropriate Pandering to the Irish?" Is it the guy in the green tie being asked about a looming recession? An anchorman discussing the five years of death and destruction in Iraq? A presidential nominee discussing foreign policy? Or a political correspondent analyzing the 2008 election?
