Hey Wall Street, I Can't Afford You! (Even Though You're Devalued)

Chris Mata | Bio

For McCain or Obama to vote yes to any plan that would give away $700 billion tax dollars is sickening. Let me be clear, my friends, this is a "bailout" not a "rescue." No, better yet, this is a "crime" not a "bailout."

I expected John McCain to back this plan, but I didn't see it coming from Barack Obama. Neither will get my vote if this bill passes. But, they are both politicians after all and just because Obama seems to be the lesser of two evils, doesn't make him a good or wise choice.

My friends, there is no "straight talk express." There is no real "change" coming. With McCain it truly is more of the same. With Obama, it's just not as much of it. When it comes down to taking care of the American people, they are both wrong for us if they approve any bill that would give away our tax dollars to the rich on Wall Street.

We are being raped by political rapists. To compare the two: Obama is the gentle rapist, the date rapist. He took you out to dinner and said so many of the right things. He wore a suit even. McCain is the guy that jumped out of the bushes on your way home from the park and shoved it in without so much as a hello. That is who we're choosing from this year.

You want a bailout America? How about a bailout at the pump? How about a cap of 2% on interest rates? How about a tax funded media so it's owned by the people instead of being ruled by partisan politics and corporations? How about universal healthcare and affordable education? How about more armor for our soldiers? How about, give
us, the American taxpayer, our money back and let us pay our bills because if we could pay our bills in the first place, our homes wouldn't be in danger of being foreclosed. These are things that would affect us immediately. These are the things that matter.

And where is George W. Bush this whole time? Where has Dick Cheney been? They've been spending the tax money we pay them to take care of the American public on vacations and vacations from vacations. They've been absent and feckless. They should be fired. Not impeached. Fired. If McCain can fire the head of the SEC, we can
fire our president and vice president. As a matter of fact, I'll fire them right now...

"Excuse me, George and Dick, can I speak to you for a minute. Yeah, come into my office. Your performances have been less than adequate these last couple of years and these last few weeks were the breaking point. We, the Americans, are going to have to let you go. You're fired. Don't ask for a referral, you're not getting one." Yes, I just fired the both of you.

America seems to have forgotten that the president and the administration are our servants. They answer to us. It is our civil duty to question every decision they make because we pay them. Every payday, you pay them. You see on your check stub where it says "FICA"? That's you paying them. This 'bailout bill' is a way to get even more of our money, the last drop of money being wringed from the tax system.

Politicians are going to pay their friends millions of dollars to figure this problem out. Bush will have $100 billion dollars to do with as he sees fit. CEO's are going to get their regular salaries just with a smaller retirement fund. That is wrong, appalling and
shocking that it is actually happening.

These two parties, Democrats and Republicans, have divided the country. Our forefathers were against a two party system and I'm sure it's because they knew that a divided country will fall. And we are falling fast, America.

Bankruptcy is American. It happens to Americans everyday. We see it happen on Wheel of Fortune. And what's more American than that? Let these corporations be the entities they wanted to be. Let them be part of the American system. Make them pay their own bills. Take their homes away if they can't pay for them. Don't make all of America pay for their mistakes.
