iPhone Shortage May Lead to Choad Shortage |
Online today, there was lots of chatter regarding shortages and shoppers' inability to find iPhones. According to CNN, "this leads many to speculate that Apple is restraining the supply ahead of the possible release of its newer, third-generation version."
I met a guy Friday night at a bar in Manhattan that had an iPhone. The following was our actual conversation:
Guy: "So where do you live?"
Me: "Brooklyn, you?"
Guy: "Manhattan, but I used to live in L.A."
Me: "Me, too. Were you an actor?"
Guy: "Yeah. Now, I am a business writer."
Me: "Cool."
Guy: "But I have still been on TV as like a business analyst."
Me: "Okay"
Guy: "So, what's it like in Brooklyn? Are there bars and stuff?"
Me: "What do you mean?"
Guy: "Like does it feel different to be here in the city? At a bar?"
Me: "How long have you lived in New York?"
Guy: "2 years."
Me: "And you've never ever been to Brooklyn?"
Guy: "Um, no...Hey wanna see TV clips of me on my iPhone?"
Me: (walks away silently)
As you can see, there is, in fact, a dire need for AT&T to make more iPhones available so that dudes like this may continue to try and get laid by impressing drunk chicks with their handy television reel.
Too bad this guy never used his iPhone to research Brooklyn nightlife.
