Keith and Barack Save the Day

Monica Johnson | Bio

Yesterday, I was so disheartened and angry over the bounce the McCrancky campaign got for a phony, pathetic, empty convention. Today, the ultra-frightening candidate and his face lift of change chick, Sarah, can't hurt me, and I'm definitely not getting a gun. I wouldn't be good with a real gun, I'm too unstable--two years ago i accidentally killed a moose with a staple gun...

Today I feel hopeful again. The reason: Keith Olbermann and Barak Obama. Yesterday Obama was on Keith's show. Keith was far from being bitter about being removed from his anchor assignment. If he was anything, he seemed sort of chipper. He will be able to be more of who he is without being saddled with anchor objectivity. No maudlin resentment. Obama was no where near at the grab the gun level of anger I was when I yesterday. He was so composed--smart and soothing. How nice it would be to have an adult in the White House. He knew the novelty of Bait Hook Barbie, will wear off, and people will realize they are still broke no matter how many times the old white thumb tells us how great the crumb cake is.
