 | I know lots of people that take cocaine three nights a week and get up and go to work every day, no problem at all, but we never hear that side of the story. |

Lily Allen
It's true. What about Frank, the surgeon, who uses cocaine to be able to perform that 23 hour face transplant? Erin, the single mother of five who simply cannot get through the day without her morning line? Joe, the night shift doorman who has to be awake and alert to keep your building secure. Chris, the investment banker, who could never keep up a brave face in these tough times without the ego enhancing effects of blow. Greta, the girl who stands on top of the horse in the circus who must use coke to overcome her fear and entertain you, the public. And me, the blogger and television enthusiast who would not be writing this now without my cocaina. I use the Spanish pronunciation because I feel it conveys the joy inherent in the drug, how it opens me up creatively and emotionally. At least three to seven times a week I will go out and do cocaine and as a result of being extra aware of my surroundings and the threats posed to my fellow man, I will save someone's life. And I wake up everyday, no problem, knowing that I've done good even if I don't remember that I did, because the blood that soaks my shirt is a sign that I probably stopped an artery from bleeding with my bare hands. So thank you, Lily Allen, for speaking of for me, the unsung hero of cocaine use. You and I both, Lily Allen. We are heroes. I'm sure of it.
