Hall and Oates give Alan Colmes the most love he will ever get
Nobody can blame The Daily Show for pandering to their hipster fan base once and a while, but how often can they bring multiple privileged white demographics together in one broadcast? Last night's appearance of Hall and Oates played to the delight of the ironic, the yuppie and the sad nostalgic mid-thirtysomething hearts of America.
Alan Colmes does deserve a little more respect than the daily dumping-on he took at Fox News, but I'm not sure he deserves to bask in the glow of 80's sensation Hall and Oates. BUT, hater alert: Hall sure can't hit those high notes like he used to and Oates looks like he's been hitting the collagen botox sauce a little to hard. Still, if the Daily Show had a house band, these guys have an ample canon of soft jams ripe for parody.
