Today, rapper Kanye West received eight Grammy nominations for his album "Graduation", and singer Amy Winehouse garnered six today for her retro soul album, "Back to Black". West's mother died from plastic surgery complications in November, and Winehouse's histrionic struggles with drugs and her husband/leech, Blake Fielder-Civil have been tabloid fodder for months, so maybe the troubled singers will take heart.
