Florida sorry for slavery...sorry it got caught

This week, the Florida Legislature formally apologized for the state's involvement in slavery. The two-page resolution passed both houses overwhelmingly. It expressed "profound regret" for the state's role "in sanctioning and perpetuating involuntary servitude upon generations of African slaves."

While slavery is certainly the greatest of Florida's crimes, we can think of several others that require atonement. Florida's legislature might do well to pass along some other notes of regret to the rest of the country.
