Barbara Walters' autobiography: the good, the bad, and the weepy

Somebody told Barbara Walters they're gonna read the whole thing in a bookstore without buying it.

Barbara Walters long-awaited sex tape memoir, "Audition", finally comes out today. The unfortunately tasteful Walters reminisces about her groundbreaking career as a TV journalist, as well as her three marriages and troubled relationships with her financially reckless father, mentally retarded sister, and once-drug-addicted daughter. At least she dishes the dirt on her revelation years-long affair she had in the 70s with the first African-American U.S. senator, Edward W. Brooke.

The 78-year-old Walters says she called her book "Audition" because she's felt her whole life like she was always trying out for something. Fair enough. But we're betting from the table of contents, though, that the book in its entirety tells a slightly different story.
