   Quick Quiz: Rush Limbaugh

Paul Slansky finds Rush Limbaugh's claiming credit for the results of the Indiana primary the perfect excuse to ask some questions about yet another soft, porcine, probably-closeted-gay right-winger.

1) In 1995, what did thrice-divorced Rush Limbaugh say was "destroying this country"?
"Divorce."
"Abortion."
"Drug use."
2) What did Rush Limbaugh say was illustrated by statistics showing that blacks go to prison more often than whites for identical drug offenses?
"You can make statistics prove whatever you want them to prove."
"Black people are obviously discriminated against, as well they should be."
"Too many whites are getting away with drug use."
3) What drugs was white-man-formerly-getting-away-with-using-drugs Rush Limbaugh revealed in 2003 - to the huge delight of millions and millions of people still high on schadenfreude from the recent revelation of William Bennett's compulsive gambling - to be using illegally?
Vicodin and OxyContin.
Heroin and cocaine.
Percocet and codeine.
4) What did Rush Limbaugh begrudgingly apologize for in 2006?
His hypocrisy regarding drug use.
His accusation that a "really shameless" Michael J. Fox was exaggerating the symptoms of Parkinson's disease in a political ad promoting stem cell research, and his subsequent physical mocking of Fox's tremors.
His having said of the abuse at Abu Ghraib, "This is no different than what happens at the Skull and Bones initiation and we're going to ruin people's lives over it and we're going to hamper our military effort, and then we are going to really hammer them because they had a good time. You know, these people are being fired at every day. I'm talking about people having a good time, these people, you ever heard of emotional release? You ever heard of the need to blow some steam off?"
5) What did Rush Limbaugh say was "the dream end" of his Operation Chaos efforts to impact the Democratic primaries?
"That this keeps up to the convention, and that we have a recreation of Chicago 1968 with burning cars, protests, fire, and literal riots and all of that, that is the objective here."
"That no one gets a majority and after fifty or sixty ballots the convention turns to Kucinich."
"That Hillary manages to steal the nomination and then on the morning of her acceptance speech we send somebody out there to accuse Bill of rape. Or that Obama wins and on the morning of his acceptance speech we send someone out to accuse him of rape."
6) Commenting on the candidates in the 2006 Ohio Senate primary, Rush Limbaugh said, "And don't forget, Sherrod Brown is black. There's a racial component here, too. And now, the newspaper that I'm reading all this from is the New York Times, and they, of course, don't mention that." Why doesn't the New York Times ever mention that Brown is black?
The paper has a policy not to identify people by race.
Brown is white.
