Obama not ready to cede white, racist vote to Clinton
Barack Obama's primary loss in West Virginia yesterday was not unexpected, yet his inability to capture the uneducated white vote remains a problem. According to the New York Times, "more than half of the (West Virginia's) Democrats said Mr. Obama did not share their values, and 47 percent said they would not vote for him if he were their nominee."
Obama supporters have encountered blatant racism during the campaign. One supporter in Muncie was told, "I'll never vote for a black person." Said another Clinton supporter, a mayor in Pennsylvania, "His stepfather was a radical Muslim and the ranting of his minister against the white America, you can't convince me that some of that didn't rub off on him."
How can Obama woo these suspicious Democrats? By launching a new campaign:
