Media, Gerry Ferraro doesn't think you're racist enough
Geraldine Ferraro appeared on the Today show on Tuesday morning, re-affirming her assertion that the media has been sexist in its coverage of Hillary Clinton. Comparing media condemnation of racism and sexism, Ferraro said, "There is a real difference in this country. It is not okay to be racist. It is just not. It is almost acceptable to be sexist."
She pointed to media reaction after Clinton was heckled with "iron my shirt," in New Hampshire. "Suppose somebody at that Barack Obama rally said 'Shine my shoes.' The person would have been swamped by the media saying, what, are you a racist? Hillary barely saw press on this."
Is she right, or is she crazy? There's only one way to find out, ask her.
