If They IM'd: Old Scott McClellan and New Scott McClellan

McClellangate just won't die. The man who has given us such startling revelations as the fact that Bush wasn't totally honest about the Iraq war, Cheney was secretive, and the media was cowed by the administration just won't go away. Next revelation: Amy Winehouse might have a bit of a drinking problem.

More interesting than McClellan's revelations is the hysterical pushback from the goons still soaking in the Kool-Aid: Ari Fleischer says the book "doesn't sound like McClellan" and Dana Perino says McClellan is just "disgruntled."

But the most blistering criticism was this:

"Well, why, all of a sudden, if he had all these grave concerns, did he not raise these sooner? This is one-and-a-half years after he left the administration. And now, all of a sudden, he's raising these grave concerns that he claims he had."

Actually, that was Scott McClellan on Richard Clarke and his critical tell-all book "Against All Enemies," published in 2004. Clearly, White House-era Scott wouldn't be so easy on present day Scott. If only they could hash it all all out...
