Barack Obama's shortlist of people to be forgotten by history
On Tuesday, Barack Obama's vice presidential shortlist was leaked to MSNBC. Several of the frontrunners, like Tim Kaine and former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Gen. James Jones, seem to have come out of nowhere. The rest, including Hillary Clinton, Bill Richardson, Kathleen Sebelius and Jim Webb, are no surprise.
The Bush administration excepted, most insiders agree with the assessment of FDR's veep, John Garner, who said the office was "not worth a bucket of warm spit." So what will the lucky winner say when he or she is introduced at the convention? Why wait to find out? Write your own remarks with our Democratic Vice President Acceptance Speech-o-Tron.
