Ron Paul breaks the hearts of creepy people everywhere
Three full months after GOP-Libertarian candidate Ron Paul announced his presidential campaign would be "winding down", he's actually throwing in the towel for real. Yes, the man who spent over a year pledging to dismantle the United States military has finally ended his quest to be elected its Commander in Chief. Often times portrayed as "crazy", "batshit crazy" and "absolutely freaking nuts", Paul marched to the beat of his own drummer. A drummer that supported building a 700 mile fence along the Mexican border because immigrants are the cause of all our welfare problems.
Ron Paul never did get his chance to abolish the IRS, but his hilarious cranky old man antics certainly did abolish a little bit of the sadness in all our lives. Let's take a look back at the magical year we shared together.

I've never felt "American" in my life, I felt half-hearted about everything this country pretended it was...but I finally feel a small seedling of patriotism in my heart...the idea of hope that others see a real America that isn't littered by fear or control, but rather flourishes in the reality of liberty. Ron Paul has pulled the apathetic from the dark corners and into the spotlight of political rallying.
Putting this man in a position of power is the best thing this country can do for itself.

Ron Paul, the only candidate who voted against the Iraq war, and the Patriot act, is crazy? Ron Paul, one of the very few politicians who doesn't pimp himself out to special interests, who actually sticks to his principles, is crazy? Are we talking about the same person?
What's not to like about the guy? What is it about his message that is rubbing you the wrong way? Is it because he actually adheres to the Constitution? Or because he's against looting the American people through income taxes? Is it because he actually has a plan for saving the Social Security fund? Because he's never voted to spend a penny of said Social Security fund? Or is it because he's against the war on drugs, which ruins millions of peoples lives, and puts otherwise law abiding citizens in prison? Is it because he's against a nuclear first strike on Iran? Is it because he promotes peace and liberty? Is it because he wants to bring all the troops home from not just Iraq, but from all over the world?(fyi he received more donations from active military than any other candidate.) Is it because he actually understands the motivation behind terrorism, instead of adhering to the ridiculous notion that they attack us because we're rich and prosperous? Sorry if I'm rambling but I'm just a bit confused? What is it exactly about his beliefs that makes him crazy, or his supporters "creepy?" If Ron Paul is crazy, then that would mean that Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington are crazy. But I hear they were actually some pretty smart dudes. Anyway, maybe you should read Paul's book The Revolution, before you start launching into a tirade against the guy because you believe everything you hear on the evening news.
