Election 2008

Minnesota's U.S. Senate race is crazying up nicely

You missed your sideburns when you dyed your hair, hon.

Former Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura popped up on MSNBC Thursday, attacking the press with a metaphorical folding chair. He's shocked — shocked — that the media thinks he's going to run as an independent for U.S. Senate, along with Republican incumbent/former St. Paul mayor Norm Coleman, and Democratic challenger/political satirist Al Franken. (He went on NPR the day before acting like he was in the race.)

Is Ventura stirring up controversy to promote his new book, or is he just bored as hell? Whatever the case, the contest to be Amy Klobuchar's Senate buddy will be colorful with these three showboats. Don't know much about these passionate Minnesotans? A few Venn diagrams ought to do the trick.
