Westboro Baptist Church burns down—police questioning 301,843,528 suspects
Early Saturday morning a fire raged through the Westboro Baptist Church, known colloquially as the "God Hates Fags" church. After the (all-heterosexual) fire department got the blaze under control, the leader of the church, Fred "Self-Hating Homosexual" Phelps, hit the airwaves to calm the church's half-dozen members and to issue a throw-down to the perpetrator.
The church itself, known for disrupting military funerals with myriad "God Hates..." signage, seemed downright glad of the blaze. So much so, that it put this update on its Web site.
