WAR IS SWELL! A look at the brighter side of American war(s)
Today, we launch a new feature called WAR IS SWELL! in which we take a break from the body counts to focus on some of the good news coming out of our wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and any other wars that we haven't gone public with yet. (Get ready to find your smile, Iran!)
For today's entry...Iraq's rich!
Hey, entirety of the human race! Still think the invasion of Iraq was a bad idea? What if we told you that the Iraqi government is going to end the year with a budget surplus of $79 billion. That's right, they are $79 billion in the black! Iraq is having a very good year, and it's entirely thanks to the skyrocketing price of oil that never would have skyrocketed had we not invaded their country in the first place. And we haven't even made them spend hardly any of that money on rebuilding all the parts of their country we blew up! Ice cream's on them!
So keep on stuffing that oil cash under your bloody, singed mattress, Iraq. And remember, none of this would ever have happened if we hadn't invaded you. You're welcome!
Next week in War is Swell! ...A suicide bomber that's also...a monkey? You better believe it!
