   If They IM'd: the Republican VP losers

After weeks of concern that the Republican vice presidential nominee might alienate Evangelicals (like Joe Lieberman) or offend social conservatives (like Mitt Romney) or be seen as inexperienced (like Bobby Jindal) or simply be too boring and generic (like Tim Pawlenty), John McCain finally made his choice.

And what a choice it was.

After a long holiday weekend teeming with Sarah Palin-related scandals, it's a pretty safe bet that the vetted-yet-rejected GOP vice presidential prospects are stunned, disappointed and mad as hell. Luckily for us, they took it to IM.

McCain using IM just ruins the realism of it for me...
