Conservatives try to sabotage McCain's loss by asking Sarah to drop out

Sarah Palin, we are a better website because of you.

Kathleen Parker, a conservative columnist for the National Review Online, is calling for Sarah Palin to drop out of the race.

"Palin can save McCain, her party, and the country she loves. She can bow out for personal reasons, perhaps because she wants to spend more time with her newborn. No one would criticize a mother who puts her family first."

Sarah, darling, don't listen to that nasty slut Kathleen Parker. She has an ulterior motive- she's trying to get McCain in the White House. I'm not.

Seriously, Sarah Heath Palin, I can't live without you. Like Paulson to Pelosi, I'm on my knees, begging you to be my partner in comedy until Nov 4th, when Barack Obama sends you and the entire GOP back to Wasilla with gift baskets of condoms and rape kits.

Every word that shoots from your sarcastic yet uninformed mouth is a gift from God. (Or a witch!) And Sarah, you head my favorite family since the Brady Bunch. The adorably miserable Bristol, soldier-boy Track and his coke habit, the Christchild Trig, Piper the licker and Willow, the mysterious one. Don't get me started on the Eskimo husband Todd who keeps puttin' it in ya after all these years. Do you know how many Palin stories we've done? 234. Whoops, this one-235. Never mind. The number rises quicker than the debt clock.

Just today, new video emerged of your swimsuit walk in the Miss Alaska competition. Yes, you were a runner up in Miss Alaska, and yes, you will lose Miss Vice-President, but 23/6 has a more impressive crown, Miss Internet Traffic.

Yet another conservative is calling on her to drop out. PLUS George Will, David Frum and Fareed Zakaria all have said she's not qualified.

Palin's public personae is taking a beating in the press, for sure. I expect the media to scrutinize her, but I think that assessments of her have been wrong. I lay the fault for her poor performance at the feet of the McCain campain, who has not prepped her or strategized propperly with her.

They picked her precisely because she is very conservative, a neocon. McCain is not and this was a problem for the base. So they figure it's enough for McCain to double talk all the issues, like how pro-choice he is, or that he previously didn't support drilling in ANWR, as long as Palin stands next to him. They never though about the strategy from her end, how she was supposed to explain HER differences in policy to McCain. They totally used her as a prop and a distraction, and never worked out a coherent campaign message for her to follow. Is it any wonder she never knows what to say? All she knows is, she can't contradict McCain, and McCain is busy muddling his own long standing positions on deregulation, abortion, meeting with Spain ?!?(wha?)

I do feel sorry for Palin, because she is not an idiot (and I base this on old interviews, i.e., Charlie Rose in 2006), but the McCain campaign is happy to let people tear her down for being stupid, because they ultimately think it helps distract from how in the wind McCain has been. They are not thinking at all what it might do to Palin's future career...this especially includes their interference with the governor's office in Alaska or attempts to shut down "troopergate" which was an extremely minor issue that she could have appologized for and moved on from in about a week, and no one would have ever thought twice about it.

Given that the word "personae" is plural, the phrase should be "Palin's public personae are . . .", which is appropriate since there are several.

Are we talking mother, Moose-skinner, wolf-slaughterer, "barracuda," end timer (happy new year, #5769!), or what?

In fact, though, she is an idiot if for no other reason that she has no clue that she is being used and that she is wholly unqualified to be vice president, much less president. Her blind ambition is what is driving her -- nothing else.

"What Senator Obama doesn't seem to understand is that I choose a vice-president who won't oppose my decisions... and gives me fellatio" - John McCain.

The Palin interview with Couric was funnier than the SNL satire version.

If she stays in, we win.
If she drops out, we win.
If I am wrong and their ticket wins, God save us all. She makes Michael Brown look competent and informed.

Oh poor poor Sarah, after her most recent interview with Katie and Johhny's doddering in the Debate tonight, I think her fifteen minutes are up. There is no way the rethugs can allow her onstage in a debate. It has become obvious why they have kept her away from reporters. Luckily for the rethugs there are easy excuses for her to leave the ticket. She could even just say the blessing to protect her from witchcraft is wearing off. They don't last forever you know! I wonder if old man McPain can go a whole day without mentioning that he is a former POW? Isn't there a support group or something?

Can we not call her down syndrome baby goofy, for cryin out loud? I love this site otherwise, but that is in bad taste. It should go without saying.

Where did it say goofy? I LOLed at his being referred to as the Christchild, but I didn't see goofy.
