Maverick gives his friends a new phrase to loathe: "Joe the Plumber"
The last debate is over. Three weeks until the election, three weeks and four minutes until we remember that Lindsay Lohan is in a lesbian relationship. Thank you, Lord. For those that missed the debate, especially a certain blue-collar fellow named Joseph, we present this photocomic- Brokaw free.

It occurred to me, that there is a certain amount of the population in this country that seriously do not get the seriousness of the situation.
It may be that Barack is skirting the questions but it appears that he is weaning you all into the reality of what is going on right now.
The reality is that everyone dipped into the piggy bank and now everyone is going to pay for it. I am tired of listening to people whine and complain
"What about me?"
"Why do my taxes have to go up?"
And all that tirade about poor me the American tax payer. We all screwed up. We all over spent all wanted to live in the lap of luxury and these are the consequences.
GROW UP AMERICA!
For how long did you think that you could go on this shopping binge and not pay for the consequences? How long did you think the high life was going to last without any repercussions?
I am so sick and tired of listening to all the poor me excuses. Get a reality check. We all did this now we all must pay for it. Joe six pack can whine all he wants about his taxes going up but the reality is that he is just as much to blame as everyone else.
So stop your whining American, Grow up already!

Obama needs to be making this distinction " "Joe, regardless of what your BUSINESS makes, until YOU are taking home 250K, you will not have your taxes increased."
Not true that this is not an important constituency. There are millions of small business owners across the country that need to hear this distinction and don"t understand it.
I am a small business owner and I can tell you most plumbers (I am a contractor, so close enough) don"t get the tax code -- especially if they"ve been W2 their whole lives.
On Public Radio recently, a small business owner called in to say that his restaurant grossed 300K but little of it made it's way into his paycheck. He assumed that because he was grossing 300K that he was above Senator Obama's 250K cut-off for no tax increases.
The show's host did not correct the misunderstanding and I don't believe he understood correctly either.
