Post-Palin politics: Val Kilmer may run for Governor of New Mexico

Attention all Real Genius fans! Val Kilmer is considering a run for governor of his adopted home state of New Mexico. According to the New York Post, in a cell phone interview from Bulgaria (which raises a whole host of other questions), Kilmer said, "There's sort of a rumor around that I'm maybe thinking about running to be governor of New Mexico? Well, it's sort of true."

Um, there was? We hadn't heard it, but hey, who are we to squash the dreams of a young man with his heart set on politics? In fact, we've taken the liberty of designing the future Gov. Kilmer's first campaign poster.

That is really what this drunk driving capitol needs, an action movie star to throw in some explosions. The sunsets are ripe for driving into.

Uhm, they didn't vote for the "Maverick." They overwhelmingly voted for "hope" and "change," by like 15 percentage points.
