How fast can we be disqualified from a job in the Obama administration?

The smoking gun.

Laid off? Obama's hiring. All you have to do is respond to the 63 part questionnaire probing into every miniscule detail about your entire life. Not so hard. Oh, except for Item #13:

(13) Electronic communications: If you have ever sent an electronic communication, including but not limited to an email, text message or instant message, that could suggest a conflict of interest or be a possible source of embarrassment to you, your family, or the president-elect if it were made public, please describe.

Please describe? How much time you got? We have trouble IM'ing with our Mom without things turning dirty. There was about a month in 2006 when we did nothing but send people the link to "Lemon Party." That's gonna keep us out of DC?

Maybe Obama's being a little too cautious, but for fun we decided to pose a little challenge for ourselves. The editorial staff at 23/6 decided to take part in an IM chat and see how long we could go before being disqualified from employment with the Obama administration. I disappointed that with all the trillions we've spent on spying within the US, that the government even has to ask the question anymore. This is obviously a ploy to trick folks into thinking that anything they've done in the electronic world is still a secret.

Yeah, well, I'd get thrown out at the resumes over the last 10 years...the prior one got changed when a new job was added...But, I think they wouldn't look so kindly on my having forwarded the fab viral video "Do You Take It in the A..." to friends far and wide.

Damn Obama and his understanding of the internet. He's probably seen so many drunken pictures from his facebook "friends" that he knows our generation is all a bunch of drunken, filthy, irredemable whores.

Not employing an undocumented immigrant is a reasonable standard, I guess, but Gmail's Mail Goggles filter for drunken emails just came out last month!
