Poll: Will a bailout help the American auto industry maintain its high standards of suck?

Should this be allowed to just disappear?

The auto industry is trying to impress upon Washington that they need a bailout, or else American car manufacturing will be no more. Most people who have driven an American car in the past decade are wondering if the industry's decline would necessarily be a bad thing.

Yet with the American auto industry hopelessly out of step with the rest of the world, it seems like General Motors shouldn't get any free money unless they're forced to pull their head out of their tailpipe and make some changes. Any suggestions?

What conditions should be attached to an auto industry bailout?
Force them to make cars that are slightly more modern than the soap box racer your dad helped you build when you were nine.
Stop naming cars crap like "LeSabre." It sounds queer.
Make them write an essay explaining why the companies that make the worst products in the world shouldn't be allowed to fail.
Hotter chicks at auto shows.
