Eric Holder named "First Black Milestone That No One Cares About"

Yawn.

Poor Eric Holder. Just a few weeks ago, news of the first African-American Attorney General would have been kind of a big deal. But now that we have a black president, first black Attorney General just sounds kind of "eh."

This is an unfortunate side-effect of the Obama victory. From now on, Blacks doing stuff that blacks never did before just won't get the kind of attention that it used to. Eric Holder will probably be remembered less for being the first black Attorney General, and more for being the first black guy to cross a milestone without anybody noticing. In a Post-Obama America, are social milestones just not quite as milestoney?

Not so fast! African-Americans aren't the only people who've been held back in America you know. There are a still a whole load of glass ceilings waiting to be cracked. Here are just a few cultural milestones that we can look forward to, off the tops of our heads:

First black vice-president
First woman president
First Asian president
First Latino president
First rapist president
First serial rapist president
First serial rapist on the supreme court
First serial child rapist on the supreme court
First serial child rapist who is still at large on the supreme court
First serial rapist (rehabilitated) on the moon
First video game character on the supreme court
First being of pure consciousness (no physical corporeality) in the House of Representatives
First former porn actress appointed Secretary of Education
First current porn actress appointed Secretary of the Treasury
First group of four female BFF's elected to a state governorship
First mom appointed as World's Greatest Dad
First Cylon appointed Secretary of the Interior
First Facebook group named Chief of Police

And, if we dare to believe...President Roomba.

Hope, people. Hope.
