Cherie Blair, stop being such a gloomy gus!

Party pooper.

Michelle Obama has apparently been getting a lot of unsolicited advice about handling her first lady duties, but none more depressing than the advice provided in a Times of London article by Cherie Blair, attorney and wife of former Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Blair titled her article, "My Advice To Michelle Obama: Learn to Like the Backseat."

"You have to learn to take the back seat, not just in public, but in private. When your spouse is late to put the kids to bed, or for dinner, or your plans for the weekend are turned upside down again, you simply have to accept that he had something more important to do."
"I, at least, had my career. That's not an option for Michelle Obama. Now they are moving to Washington, any return to her high-flying job in Chicago would be impossible."

Jeez. Way to say congrats, Cherie. We thought it only polite that we respond to your kind wishes with a note of our own...
