Alan Colmes, the other half of Hannity & Colmes is leaving the show. His primary purpose on the show seemed to be to provide at least a few seconds here and there where Hannity was not actually talking. Which, you have to admit, is something. According to Huffpost, he will stay at the network as a "liberal commentator" (that's right -- apparently he's a liberal). He's also going to develop a weekend program, so remember to set a Google alert for that one.

Why he's leaving? He told TVNewser it's because "I feel as though we have a Democratic President, House and Senate; I feel like my work is done."

Or maybe it's to spend more time with his wife -- the sister of right-wing harridan Monica Crowley. Yes, someone saw Alan Colmes and said, "yep, that's for me. For life. Sometimes naked." If he does to her what Sean has been doing to him for 12 years, they probably have a pretty healthy sex life.

And what about poor Sean. What's he going to do now that it's just Hannity & Hannity? He'll somehow soldier on -- but here are the 6 things he's going to miss most about his old, apparenlty liberal, buddy...

•How if you really concentrated, you could actually see his flesh receding down to his bare skull.

•His lunch money.

•The fierce, principled way he would respond to me mocking his entire political philosophy with "we'll be right back."

•His cute nickame for me: "Mr. Hannity, Sir."

•The way he would let me finish first even though I am, ironically, a bottom
