Is Saxby Chambliss' name silly enough to keep him in office?

Who needs Ludacris when you're smooth like Saxby?

Welcome to Election Day Part 2! All eyes are on the Georgia today as genteel Southern voters head to the polls to cast their vote for senator in the runoff between Republican incumbent Saxby Chambliss and Democratic challenger Jim Martin. Democrats already control 58 seats and the Georgia race would put them one step closer to a filibuster-proof "liberal supermajority." If that happens, then much like the two George W. Bush victories caused our nation's Alec Baldwin's to threaten to move to Canada, GOP stalwarts might also be inspired to move out of the country, if only there weren't so many damn Mexicans everywhere else.

Both side have been bringing out the big guns. Chambliss enlisted VPLILF (Vice Presidential Loser I'd...well, you get it) Sarah Palin to stump for him, while Martin took a decidedly different tack and appeared at the state Capitol with hip-hop stars T.I., Ludacris and Young Jeezy. Their message of change was no doubt entirely lost on the state's old, white voters, who are probably less interested in Young Jeezy, and more about the Old Jeezy Like From The Bible.

Stay tuned for election results and for more information about how a liberal supermajority won't keep your retirement savings from being decimated.

It was silly enough to win the run off. OK, OK the voters were residents of Ga [the 1 in the USA], but Saxby won.
No one has said that legislation to encourage Ga to secede from the USA would be introduced in the 111th Congress---yet. Wait till the 111th Congress is sworn in.
