Waiting for the recession? Surprise!

Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson speaking from the set of the hot new gameshow, "Fortune 500 Forum."

Economists just found out yesterday that we've been in a recession since December of 2007, which is more evidence that being an economist is one of the more recession-proof careers you can choose. The government is always going to have to pay somebody to tell them a year too late when our economy blows.

My cars have been repossessed about nineteen times in the last decade, but the repo that happened last March...I could tell by the squeal of the tires, "This one's different."
When I compared the spring quarter's unemployment growth to prior quarters and then added in consumer spending numbers and then I got laid off from my job at the plant for doing too much math.
When I conceded the presidential election. (John McCain only)
When I ran out of f**king money.
